Welcome to the home of East Leake Angling Club (ELAC). Our club was formed in 1996 by a group of locally based friends and fishing enthusiasts. Since then it has been going from strength to strength with a strong membership base. While we try a regulate the numbers of members on an annual basis, we are always looking out for potential new members, including both senior and juniors.  Our membership is not restricted to residents of East Leake as many of our members are from further afield. We do however, also like to see a healthy member representation of East Leake.

 

Our ethos is based on friendship and support, and we always try to consider and listen to our members fishing wishes. As such, we do match fish a number of different venues each year. Venues that range from Rivers, Lakes, Ponds and Canals locally and in and around the East Midlands. As part of this mix we visit a number of commercial fisheries where carp species are predominant.

We fish up to 18+ matches each year, with cup competitions, pairs, knockout and a championship league fished over the year. Member turn out for these matches is extremely high.

Our membership and their skills are varied and we try to celebrate success throughout the year at our presentation night.
